Just wanted to share a very unfortunate experience we had while playing golf in the Philippines 🇵🇭 about a week ago..We visit 🇵🇭 at least a few times a year and have played many wonderful courses throughout Luzon and it’s been great.. mostly.. until a recent unfortunate and disgraceful incident (10/02/2024 @ LUISITA GOLF)We usually pay some type of foreigner rates and it’s not that bad to be very honest.. to play as a “tourist” for those rates.. however.. for the first time in nearly 50 rounds of golf, our friend, that has blessed us in more ways than one and has graciously hosted us almost every trip to Philippines for years.. was instructed to check in at the “Korean” check in counter. (instructed by staff @ check in and it was explained that they have an agreement with “Korean travel agency”)Our friend, a Korean national that has been living and working in Philippines for nearly 30 years has contributed significantly to the Philippine economy.. is married to a local Filipina.. presented a Philippine senior i.d. and whatever other i.d. cards that would have normally sufficed any other courses to conclude that he is in fact a resident and not a tourist. And by the way he has memberships at ayala greenfield and orchard and eagle ridge. Our friend was treated unfairly and discriminated against because of his race! Which begs the question if the thousands of Korean tourists that play a lot of the same courses we’ve played are they aware they’re being charged a “Korean rate” because of an agreement with Korean travel agency. Our friend opted to not play on principle (mind you we came a long way to play this golf course – which was highly recommended) but after this experience I believe it is my duty to share such a disgrace with as many people as I can and across as many social media platforms - and hopefully get the attention of some Korean social media influencers. NAKAKAHIYA!

It takes about 2 hours (if space is available) to arrive from Manila by NLEX → SCTEX.Of the 18 holes, 12 holes involve water. It's a difficult course, especially the par 3 holes, where you have to go over the water to get on the green, and you won't be able to get a perfect result.Overall, it is highly strategic and stimulates the fighting spirit of golfers. If you are glared at by the witch who lives in the pond, you will be seriously injured, but it is also a course that will make you want to take revenge. The restaurant menu mainly consists of local and Korean menus. Most of the golfers are Korean and Japanese, but tournaments are often held on the island. They used to have a Japanese menu, but when I went back for the first time in a long time, unfortunately, it had disappeared.

It's a good golf courseThe course difficulty is moderate, and there are hedges and old large trees along the way, adding to the difficulty of the course. The caddies are high-level caddies who play golf to some degree. They are all male caddies, so they smoke, but their skills are top notch. This is a golf course worth challenging for top-level players.Since there is no obi and it is played in the next hole, it has a unique taste that cannot be experienced in Korea.

I absolutely love the RTJ designed course. The well placed drives will reward the player with accessible shot to the green. The putting greens look very innocent but trouble lurk if one misreads them. Thank you Luisita for accommodating me.

This golf course has a great layout! I really enjoyed the round. The caddies have fantastic knowledge of the course. Best caddies I've ever had in the Philippines! The inconsistency of the greens was not my favorite. Some are fast and some are slow as molasses.Overall I definitely like to play the course at least every other week and get used to the greens and see how I can do out there. :-)

This course never disappoints as it has everything that a golfer wishes a course has. You want undulating greens? Check. Water hazards and holes that require serious thought? Check. These and more are complemented by the awesome staff that runs this club. 3 thumbs up!!!

A place to try to play golf. Their staffs are very accommodating. Have lots ofparking spaces. Have a good restaurant to serve you with drinks, foods and desserts to keep you recharged you after playing golf or even before. Depends what you prefer. Have also a golf boutique shop to buy all your golfs needs.

This place is very peaceful and close to nature which offers golf and clubhouses. It also has an upscale subdivision with organized streets and backyards.
