Since I am a member, I always visit once or twice a week. The biggest advantage is that there are 4 courses, so it is fun to choose from. The downside is that it takes a long time because it is crowded with so many tourists during the season. In general, bunkers are not well managed, so there are many places where free drops are available.

It was clean and nice.Although the facility was a bit old, many people were still using it.Even though I went early on a Sunday morning, there were a lot of people.

We rented the badminton court, table tennis and also went bowling. The court was dusty and windy so our game in badminton was difficult. Bring your own rackets as they do not have rentals. The table tennis room is dark and if you want them to turn on the lights, there's an additional P500 (ridiculous). The pool is for kids, the deepest is at 5ft. The bowling center is old, I find my ball suddenly shifts direction when playing. There was an instance, the pins were taken by the machine without throwing the ball yet. Water costs P50 for the 50ml bottle, ludicrous if you ask me. The average meal prices in the restaurant is around P350. I ate the rice bowl, in all fairness, the serving is big. The shake however was advertised as P120 but upon paying, they charged us at P150 plus service charge, very deceiving indeed. Will never go back to this place.

UPDATE Oct 11 2020: played Dye. Definitely the hardest of the 4. Wild bunkering and elevation changes. But the best greens and fairways. Zoysia has taken over the greens and they are lush and true. A different Zoysia has been propagated on the fairways and it's covering maybe a third of the area.so nice to hit off of.All that's missing is better bunker maintenance. Dye is a superb layout! Not for anyone with an index higher than 16 in my opinion.UPDATE October 2020: Played the Faldo Course. The most interesting and challenging of the 3 I have played. Front nine is easier but 9th is difficult, a par 5 with a fairway that narrows and hazard all along the right side.last 4 holes are terrific. 15 is a short par 4 down into a small green surrounded by a hazard. 16 a long par 4. 17 a long bunkered par 3. The closer is exceptional: drive over a ravine to a small landing area then all the way uphill to a green with hazards in the back.Fairways were ragged in places, and bunkers needed more sand. Some greens were fine, others had bare spots and rough spots. Greens are a mix of grasses but they did not play too different from hole to hole.Despite some of the issues with maintenance, Faldo is such a good layout that I enjoyed myself nonetheless.Dye Course soon!UPDATE august 2020: I played the Aoki Course. Very enjoyable track. Fairways were lush because of the rains, but well trimmed. Yes there are weeds but not a problem. Greens were a patchwork of different grasses but they played fine. Maybe 9 on the Stimpmeter.Like Norman, Aoki is a fairly wide open and easy course. It measured a bit more than 6400 yards from the blues. Very enjoyable for most mid handicappers. I liked that one short par 4 in the front nine where you choose your landing area, and you can even drive the green if you hit long. Good par 5 over water on the 12th, and the 18th, with water all along the left side, is a worthy finisher. Can't wait to try Faldo, which is being worked on, and the notorious Dye course, supposedly one of the most difficult in the country!ORIGINAL REVIEW:Played the Norman course. Fairways were weedy, hard and patchy but in general acceptable especially if you play preferred lie.Norman is a chill resort layout with a few truly interesting holes like the narrow 15th, a par 5 with a ravine all down one side. Greens are suitably interesting without being unreasonable. Can't wait to try the other three tracks! The club has done the right thing by prioritizing the rehabilitation of the greens, which may have had some native grass intrusions but were smooth and quick. Zoysia is taking over some greens and that is a good development since that grass is more easy to maintain.Bunker edges are not the best but it doesn't bother me. Sand is not the premium kind but it plays fine.I heard a lot of horror stories about poor maintenance in ER before but I honestly think the club has turned a corner. They own their own brand new equipment now, and tourists traffic is helping boost their cash flow. The share price is extraordinarily low, you can buy one for P40,000 plus transfer fee. That is what makes ER get five stars for me. A proprietary share with four courses is amazing bang for the buck. The opening of the CALAX by around 2022 should increase player traffic, improve profitability, and allow the club to develop and maintain the courses and facilities even better. If you live near ER and love playing a wide variety of courses, it's a no brainer.

Feels like probinsya but it's not! Very relaxing atmosphere just few miles away from the city. For the price paid, we really enjoyed our experience. Affordable po fees in the country club and there are guesthouses you can rent. Very happy overall!
